What a terrific day at eBay headquarters!  Dubbed eBay Day One, we celebrated day 1 of eBay being it’s own company again.  I cannot give details about what is coming (NDA) but I will say I am very pleased with their plans for us sellers!  Probably the first really good news since the defect system was put into place.

It was pretty wild being “celebrated” by the company.  We walked out to lots of high fives, WOOHOOs and clapping.

Surreal, but fun!  50 sellers, one from every state.

We had cocktails and dinner tonight with the eBay team and it was a lot of fun.  I was happy to talk with many kind and interesting sellers from East to West!  I think that as online sellers we can sometimes work in a vacuum.  Everyone is interested in eBay but it’s hard to understand as a career/passion. So, to be in a big room with people who love it as much as I do is a real treat.

I learned a lot about selling ephemera (Hi Maine!) and fashion (Hi Kansas!). Some of their stories are pretty impressive and inspirational.  There is always room to grow and change as an online seller.  Be flexible people! 🙂
